#SciArtInktober drawing prompts

In past years, I’ve relied on others to create science themed prompt lists for #inktober, but I didn’t see any for this year. At least not on Mastodon, which is where I am most active since the twitter debacle started.

So I’ve started my own #SciArtInktober! I was a bit rushed, and came up with most of them myself. But I did get some suggestions from folks who follow me on mastodon, and I added some of them. Some of the suggestions were already on the list. Great minds, and all that.

Next year, maybe we can be more organized ahead of time, and do more community sourcing the list.

But for now, this list looks pretty fun to me.

You’re welcome to join us!

Also, if you’re just interested in seeing what people post, you can follow the #SciArtInktober tag from any instance on Mastodon.

My first drawing is inspired by the prompt “lipid”. I’ll be posting all of my drawings, this month, in public posts on my Patreon and Ko-fi.

Update (Nov 6, 2023): I had so much fun with these drawing prompts, I decided to make a little tool/toy for #SciArt prompts. It’s free to play with at itch.io: https://artatomic.itch.io/prompts
